“Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.” ~Martin Luther

Instrumental Music Groups at Our Father!

Handbells
Whether you have never rung before or have been ringing for many years, we have a place for you! If you are a beginner and need to start with the fundamentals, or maybe you cannot commit to a rehearsal every week, check out the Celebration Ringers. This group rehearses twice a month, the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. If you have rung before and would like to ring slightly more advanced music, visit the Jubilate Ringers, which rehearse every Thursday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Brass Choir
Do you play a brass instrument? If so, this is the place for you! This group of talented musicians rehearses two or three times before playing for one or more of the church festivals (Reformation, All Saints’, Christmas, Easter, etc.) during the Church Year. We utilize trumpets, trombones, french horns, baritones, and tubas. Brass choir offers a great variety of music and sound to our worship services.

Flute Ensemble
Our Father Lutheran Church is blessed with a wonderful bunch of very talented floutists – and there is always room for more! This group plays at different times during the church year, and rehearses one or two times prior to their appearance. Help us make a joyful noise unto the Lord with the lovely sound of a flute chorus!

Strings
As with the brass and flute groups, our strings group plays during different times throughout the church year. You would love to be a part of this group if you play violin, viola, cello, even string bass or harp. Strings are such a wonderful way to praise the Lord, raising our thoughts, hopes and prayers to the heavens above.
