DID YOU KNOW?

Every year the Senior High students at Our Father host a bike ride fundraiser called Ride the River.  In addition to raising funds to help offset the cost of mission trips, our students also set aside a portion of their raised funds and personally research and choose specific missions to assist.

From Ride the River 2012, our students donated a total of $4,000 to each of the following:

• Compassion Kids International ($1,000)
• Bethania Kids in India ($1,000)
• Financial Support for a seizure companion dog to one of our congregational members ($1,000)
• SonRise Camp, a camp for the developmentally disabled in Anderson, IN ($1,000)

Awesome!  Be sure to sign up for Ride the River  for June 16, 2012 so we can raise funds to continue our ministries at Our Father and around the world!

Special Guest Speaker: Pastor Age

Pastor Age is Lead Pastor with Tha Myx International, a Christian Mission working with inner-city families in Denver. Age grew up in Denver, Colorado and has been in Urban Ministry for 16 years. He is also a national recording artist and is a co-founder of Preachas in tha Hood & God Style Records. 

Pastor Age has produced and released 13 international records and has traveled to Japan, Peru, and all over the United States preaching and evangelizing the word of God through Gospel Rap. He is also a featured keynote speaker for many events.  He has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the urban community and he continues to learn, teach, and train in this context!

The charities that the students chose to donate to in 2010 were:

• Bethania Kids in India
• Roots Academy in Nakuru, Kenya
