Women's Ministries at Our Father      
 

A full choice of days and times for women's activities are offered at Our Father.  From quietly praying for a Prayer Sister to an overnight women's retreat to regular Bible studies and a banquet, there is something for every woman.  Watch the newsletter for upcoming activities.  Here is a list of some of our ministries:

Women's Bible Study - Tuesdays, 9:30 AM in Room 300
All women are invited to join us for this time of Bible study every Tuesday morning throughout the school year (does not meet over the summer). 

Book Club - Third Mondays, 7 PM in the Conference Room
The Book Club meets once monthly (on the third Monday of the month) to discuss a book.  Everyone is welcome to join the group even if you have not read the book.  Join us for refreshments, fellowship and lively discussion of the book.  Please refer to the most current newsletter for the current book and next meeting date.

Prayer Sisters
This ministry is a sisterhood of ladies who pray for a secret sister.  They keep in touch (annonymously) through small gifts of remembrance and through cards on the Prayer Sister bulletin board by the reception desk.  Once a year there is a Prayer Sister Event-the revealing event-where the ladies discover who their prayer sister was and then get assigned to another for the coming year.  The next opportunity to join Prayer Sisters will be on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at noon at the Prayer Sister Luncheon.

Women's Retreat  
The 2012 Women's Retreat date has been set.  Mark your calendars for May 11-12!  Watch the newsletter in coming weeks for more detailed information.  The Women's Retreat is an annual event that takes place at the Franciscan Retreat Center in Colorado Springs.  View our BROCHURE or call the church office at 303-779-1332 if you have questions about the retreat.  The photo to the left is from the 2011 retreat.

Women's Banquet
The 2012 Women's Banquet was held on January 27 at 6:30 PM.  The banquet included an evening of fellowship, food and fun for women of all ages.  It was a catered event, served by many kind men, that took place in the Fellowship Hall.  Our speaker was Polly Letofsky, author of 3 MPH:  The Adventures of One Woman's Walk Around the World.  With her motivational keynote talk and good food, we had a very enjoyable evening! 

MOPS - Meets most first and third Fridays of the month during the school year from 9:15 - 11:30 AM beginning September 16, 2011 and ending May 4, 2012
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom...Urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!  MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.  Our Daytime MOPS meets from September 16, 2011 through May 4, 2012 on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of every month from 9:15 - 11:30 AM.  Childcare is provided, however registration is required.  For more general information, registration and childcare availability, please contact Kelly Kochenberger at kellykochenberger@comcast.net or call the church office at 303-779-1332.  Go to our MOPS page to find out more!
