SUNDAY SCHOOL
Children from
age three through eighth grade are invited to attend Sunday
School each week from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Dedicated members of
the congregation serve as teachers and helpers in each grade
level. The purpose is to help children in developing Christian
attitudes and to assist in their growth in the knowledge of the
Triune God.
“FAITH STATIONS”
This new Sunday School education program is for first through sixth graders. Children meet in the Great
Room (the Launching Pad) for the opening and then go by groups to individual centers as
assigned.

DURING WORSHIP
CHILDREN'S
SERMONS
These are
shared with the children during the Sunday morning worship
service. We encourage all children to participate. Through
these talks the children have an active part in the worship
service.
NURSERY
SERVICE
A
supervised nursery is provided in the room directly south of the
main doors during both Sunday morning worship services for
children under five years old. There is also a speaker set
up in the narthex so that you can still hear the service if you
have to walk a child.
MORE CHILDREN'S
MINISTRIES
CRADLE
ROLL
Baptized infant
members of Our Father are enrolled in the Cradle Roll. Parents
are then provided with Christian education materials in order to
assist them with their child's spiritual growth and religious
training from birth to the age of three.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
A Vacation
Bible School (VBS) for children ages kindergarten through sixth
grade is usually offered during the summer months for one week.
This is a special and fun-filled way of ministering to the
children of the church and the community. Bible stories are
taught and the children learn more about God though hands-on
activities and craft projects. Time is set aside for music and
recreation each day.
CHILDREN'S CHOIRS
Children's
choirs called "SonShine Singers" (Grades K-3) and “Our Father's
Kids” (Grades 4-6) rehearse on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
(Times vary slightly during Advent and Lent). These groups sing
regularly for worship, alternating between the early and late
services. Rehearsal time is held in conjunction with the
children’s handbell ringers.
OUR
FATHER CHILDREN’S LEARNING CENTER
Our Father
Children’s Learning Center is an exciting ministry to pre-school
children (ages 2 ˝-5 years) and their parents. Monday through
Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during the school year, the
building bustles with Bible stories, songs, crafts, finger
plays, prayers and kids in motion, all within a Christian
context.
Our Father
Children’s Learning Center is self-supporting and contributes to
Our Father financially as well as physically, through the
purchase of playground equipment and other needed items. Call
(303) 779-4910 and talk to our preschool director if interested.
UPPER ELEMENTARY YOUTH
(grades 4-6)
Our
philosophy includes ministering to children of all ages. Not
only does Our Father provide Sunday school opportunities for
children but we also provide opportunities to grow in fellowship
as well.
Social
activities are usually held on a monthly or bi-monthly basis and
include a variety of opportunities such as seasonal parties,
roller skating, trips to the zoo and other field trip
opportunities.
S.H.O.U.T.
"Shout!" meets on Wed. nights, from 6:30 -
7:10 p.m., in Room 102. All 4th through 6th grade children
are welcome to this fun club where they will learn about the
Bible through fellowship, games, lessons, and crafts. This
is a great chance to bring a friend, too! All parents are
asked to take a turn helping Lori Black with this program
supervising and bringing snacks.
5TH/6TH GRADE YOUTH GROUP
This group meets monthly and alternates
between fellowship and service events. The parents
coordinate the activities. Please refer to the newsletter
to see what the group has scheduled for this month.
ACOLYTES
Acolytes are youth in grades five and above who have the
opportunity to serve their Lord and the church by leading
processions, lighting and extinguishing candles, assisting at
communion, and by assisting the pastor as requested during the
worship service.
The acolytes
at present serve at approximately one worship service per
month. There is a formal training for acolytes, and acolytes
are expected to participate in yearly refresher classes. A
schedule is sent to each volunteer.
