Steven J. Olsen, 29, was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Family and friends at Our Father Lutheran Church sprang into action to help with medical costs and raised over $350,000, beginning with a one-night event at Denver’s Ocean Journey. Upon Steven’s passing in March 2004, the remaining funds became a hopeful beacon for others with significant financial and medical needs. Continued donations in Steven’s memory have been distributed, with over $350,000 donated to over 100 families and individuals since the fund’s inception in 2005.
